The annual conferences of methodologists and statisticians were established in 1982.
First conferences were organized in Bled and then for several years in Preddvor and Ljubljana. Since 2005 the conferences were organized in Hotel Ribno, in the vicinity of the magnificent Lake Bled. The 2020 conference had to be postponed to 2021 due to he outbreak of the COVID-19 and the introduced uncertaintes. In 2021 the conference was organised online and in 2022 again as a live event, this time in Ljubljana.
At the beginning the conferences were gathering participants from former Yugoslavia, and later from Slovenia, with growing international participation. Nowadays we usually have about 100 participants, about 70% from abroad.
